đź’± Cross Chain Transaction
Cross-chain transactions enable interactions between accounts on different blockchains, ensuring the secure transfer of data and execution of actions. These transactions use the Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol to deliver packets containing messages that detail the actions to be performed on the destination chain. In addition to the packet payload, the transaction information and the user’s signature from the source chain are included and play a crucial role in validation. This ensures that only authorized and untampered transactions are executed, even across distinct blockchain ecosystems.
đźš“ Cross Chain Authorization
Cross-chain authorization refers to a process in which users provide a set of instructions in textual format. The user interacts only with the instructions themselves, while the underlying functionalities—such as validation and execution—are encapsulated within the module, abstracting complexity.
đź’ł Smart Accounts
Smart Accounts extend the functionality of the Sourdough's modules by enabling it to manage accounts on both Cosmos chains and EVM chains. This is made possible through Axelar’s General Message Passing (GMP) protocol, which allows the a Cosmos chain to interact with EVM contracts. By sending messages via IBC transfers to the Axelar network, the Cosmos chain can create and control EVM-based contract accounts that are linked to a Cosmos chain account.
